— The annual Street Dance and Taste of Zionsville will return on the brick streets of Main Saturday, Aug. 7.

Ray Cortopassi, executive director of the Greater Zionsville Chamber of Commerce, said the event, which has been in Zionsville since 1977, is a fun way to bring families together and to have fun and celebrate Zionsville.

“It’s a great event before kids go back to school and it’s a great way to sample all of Zionsville’s restaurants in one easy convenient location,” he said. “This year, there will be an eclectic mix of cuisine from refine taste like sushi to barbecue ribs and pizza for the kids.”

The event will kickoff at 6 p.m. with 10 different food vendors including Cobblestone Grill, Carolina Grill, Famous Dave’s, Ghyslain at The Sanctuary, Noah Grants Grill House and Raw Bar, Oobatz, Pizza King, Zionsville Pizza, Papa John’s, Hong Kong House at Anson and Patrick’s Kitchen and Drinks.

This year, there will be an opening act, played by Willoughby Sprig, a group made up of the Burrus brothers of Zionsville who will play progressive earth music beginning at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m., The Fabulous Imports, a local band, will perform until 11 p.m.
